During Rodeo, if you have you volunteer parking tag (aka M-Tag or V-Tag), park according to the map shown on the reverse. Parking becomes scarce the later you arrive, so have a plan B for parking. Another great, free option is utilizing Rodeo Express parking lots and shuttling in.

NOTE: Volunteers are no longer allowed to park in the Blue Lot using their M-Tag. If you are working a shift for a committee, you’ll be provided a day tag from that committee.

If you got a parking hang tag for a specific night, obviously use that in lieu of your volunteer parking.

During the off-season, unless there is an event which block parking, you’ll enter via the McNee entrance and park in the Red Lot (first one you come to) or the Orange Lot on the other side of NRG Center. Choose the lot based on the location of your meeting or task.

Absolutely you can Uber or Lyft or Taxi or even carpool with your friends. HLSR has a relationship with Lyft and there is a designated pick up area on the other side of Kirby [see map below]. HOWEVER, due to the limitations of Lyft and their lack of see-a-car-get-a-ride technology, this area can get really, really dense during high traffic times.

What we suggest during high-traffic times is to walk over (with friends — NOT ALONE) to the Holiday Inn or the Fiesta parking lot and call an Uber or Lyft from there. You’ll likely cut your wait time down by 75% and you won’t have to listen to everyone gripe.
