Needless to say NRG Park is huge and there is no other time of year that you’ll see the entire property being used at once. A map is included below, but here is a quick synposis:

NRG Stadium:

  • RodeoHouston (actual Rodeo and performances)
  • Directors Club / Chairmans Club
  • Chute Club (Corral Club)
  • Catalina Club (Corral Club)
  • East Club / West Club (Corral Club w/ exclusive access*)

NRG Center:

  • HLSR Offices
  • Membership Offices
  • Ticket Windows
  • Livestock Show
  • Exhibitors (Retail shops)
  • Conference Rooms for off-season meetings

NRG Arena:

  • Auctions
  • More Exhibitors (Retail shops)
  • Horse Shows
  • Ranch Rodeo

Auctions are a great time and it really gets exciting especially when they bring out the Champion and Reserve Champion animals. Auctions are free to attend with the exception of the Wine Auction. That one includes dinner and you must “pay-to-play.” All of the others, you can just show up and grab a drink and seat. Free bar service is included.

If you want to bid, make sure you sign up for your Bidder number when you arrive. If you decide you want to start a buying team, register your buying team at the same table. They’ll provide a different number for the team. Signing up for a bidder number doesn’t obligate you to buy, but why wouldn’t you?? 🙂

Depending on the auction and the level spent, there are different perks (blankets, buckles, etc) to winning an auction, but most include a private bar behind the auction stage.

If you are a bidder, there is a complimentary cart service from NRG Arena to NRG Center. It is a great way to get back and forth.

What is the auction schedule?
